Heather Burdine, Licensed Clinical Social Worker

I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with over ten years of therapy experience. I believe it is a privilege to help facilitate and witness change in another person. Asking for help is never easy. It requires equal parts of courage, honesty, humility, and belief that change is possible. I believe that people have the power to heal themselves when provided with the right guidance and support.

I specialize in treating those with mental health issues surrounding life transitions, including trauma, depression, anxiety, grief and loss, and substance use disorders. I employ a strengths-based approach to cultivate a sense of curiosity, non-judgment, and compassion toward oneself. This is the starting point for making meaningful change and identifying new thoughts and behaviors that support living a life that is meaningful and fulfilling. I believe in empowering those I work with through education on mental health and by practicing an integrative, holistic approach to therapy, which incorporates elements from various theories to tailor therapy to each of my clients.
