Heather Burdine, Licensed Clinical Social Worker

I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with over ten years of therapy experience. I believe it is a privilege to help facilitate and witness change in another person. Asking for help is never easy. It requires equal parts of courage, honesty, humility, and belief that change is possible. People have the power to heal themselves when provided with the right guidance and support.

I specialize in treating those with mental health issues surrounding life transitions, including trauma, depression, anxiety, grief and loss, and substance use disorders. I employ a strengths-based approach to cultivate a sense of curiosity, non-judgment, and compassion toward oneself. This is the starting point for making meaningful change and identifying new thoughts and behaviors that support a meaningful, fulfilling life. I believe in empowering those I work with through education on mental health and by practicing an integrative, holistic approach to therapy, which incorporates elements from various theories to tailor therapy to each of my clients.
